I am currently the Animation Retake Director for Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, a series created to be an engaging first Star Wars experience for a younger audience.
A comparison example of how my hand-drawn notes overtop of the first animation pass created by the animators at ICON Creative Studio helped shape the last shot of the premiere episode. My instincts were telling me that this shot would be featured heavily in promotional material for the series, so I made sure that it was as dynamic, clear, and unequivocally "Star Wars" as it could be.
